Default Help with slip-ons

I have a 12 Street Glide w/103, and I bought some Bassani slip-ons. Will these void my warranty if I install them myself? They are new in the box. Also in the instructions it says to use without catalytic converters, "It's imperative." Does a 2012 SG have cats and if so where are they? Will I have to buy new headers without cats?

The 2012 has cats in the head pipes. You can get new headers or "de-cat" your existing headers. Plenty of info on the forum on both options.

Will it void your warranty? Plenty of unscrupulous dealers may tell you it will. But in the event any dealer refuses a warranty claim on the basis of owner installed slip ons, it would be the responsibility of the dealer to prove the slipons, or their installation, caused the problem. That would be difficult to do.

If you have a dealer inclined to do business in this manner, I suggest you find a better dealer.

You can install those with the cat in the header and sound just fine so dont worry.
