Default Anyone carpet their hard bags?

I just bought an 07 RK standard a couple months ago. I have been looking at the bag liners, but at $100ish for the pair!!! My flashlight, pens, etc. just get rattled and come apart, lots of wear. I've only put about 1000mi on it and the bags just tear stuff up. What is everyone doing to keep their stuff in the bags nice?? I was thinking about trying to carpet them, help?

How about a purse? bwahaha

Just kidding. I have some heavy canvas bags for my small stuff, and some vinyl bags for my tools. Both work just fine. Plus I just throw a towel in the bottom of each bag for padding. Also works great if I need a towel in a pinch.

Check out www.hogliners.com. I am planning on getting their liners.

For the smaller stuff, I'd suggest installing the lid organizers.

Nope, no carpet for me. The liners came with my 2012, and I don't even use them. The hard bags are small enough, and I need all the space I can get.

That's nice & all, but you can't carry anything in there! Seems like kind of a waste.

Anyway, I lined the bottom of mine with that rubberized padding stuff. If they get wet or dirty you can just pull 'em out & clean 'em.

Viking Bags has a pair of liners that sell for $20.00. On back order, right now, but should be available the first of July.

Go to automotive section in Walmart. You can get a big roll of automotive carpet for $8. One roll did both of my bags. Pick up a can of spray glue and your good to go. Cost about $12 total and an hour or so to do.
