Tank Emblems
I'm not loving the tank emblems on my Limited and I'd like to change them to Street Glide emblems. Has anyone done this? Photos would be nice. Anyone got any emblems laying around?

the emblems on the limited are kinda plain. but the street glide ones aren't much better (imo). if you really want to go big, go with the screamin eagle ones like the attached. just don't buy them off ebay, trying to get too much for them. you can get them from one of the online discounters cheaper (and they aren't restricted items)

Will be picking up my 2013 FLHX this Friday and thought it would look so much more kick *** with that 110th Anniversary tank emblem! That probably IS a restricted to model item though. Or maybe Harley sells them or will sell them eventually?

Since Harley saw fit to ship my Limited with one of the tank emblems upside-down. I pulled mine off as well. Actually I pulled it off to fix it and then realized that I liked it better without so I pulled the other one as well.
I haven't put anything back on but pulling the emblems is fairly easy and has been covered in other threads. I used an automotive trim remover but a piece of fishing line between to short dowel rods would probably work better. Then just use some adhesive remover to take off the glue. WD-40 works too.

All Street Glide emblems are the same font, but I forget which year they changed the finish (maybe in 2011)

If you guys have any tank emblems u want to get rid of I need a set. Making a driveable picnic table out of old 4 wheeler and I'm getting to the paint and deco stage. I will pay ship.

newcastle has them for $51.xx each. your other online discounter should be in that same ballpark
