I took the Delaware course offered by DMV and taught by the MSF instructor. I paid $50 for the course and will eventually get that back through my insurance savings. The Harley Rider's Edge Course was $250. I was told it is also taught by the MSF instructor......??!!
I agree, the coursewas a blast and I also learned a few things. Best 50 bucks I've ever spent.
After completing the Rider's Edge Course my confidence in riding just skyrocketed. I am much more aware of my surroundings, and learning to do things the right way, the first time, is priceless.

The "Ride Like a Pro" DVD is great too. An inexpensive education! In all my years of riding, no one ever told me how to properly pick up a dropped bike.
I saw people drop their bikes in the MSF beginner coarse I took. I wonder if that occurs in the advanced class on your own bike because of challenging drills.
I took the basic course I took it on a Honda 250 CC. I wasa brand new rider then. I took the advanced on course recently on my Ultra Classic and I did things I didn't know I could do. Plus I took the course with my wife riding with me. I learn to do a U turn and figure 8 in much less space than the alotted room allowed by the course. It is amazing what a big bike can do if you let it.
