Why Should I Use Synthetic Oil?
#21
Makes No Difference To Me
On my first service (1,000 mile) I went from dino to synthetic. I wasn't totally convinced that it was any better so at 2500 miles I switched back to dino. The bike definately ran noisier, so at the 5,000 mile service I changed back to synthetic. I felt that the bike ran quieter.
At the 10,000 mile service I changed all 3 holes to the syn3 and noticed a considerable change in engine noise AND transmission performance. I know that oil is a hot topic around here and that opinions vary all over the place, but, I'm sold for now on the syn3.
It doesn't matter what you end up deciding to run with, in as much as that you continually properly service the bike.

well as you can see, there is a 50/50 mix here on Dino and syn. oil's, been there done this myself, and never could come to a happy choice wanting all the good i could get, that's why i went with the Semi-Synthetic oil, now i get the best of both worlds.

Ok OP, now you went and done it, the oil thread stress was just too much. Now we get to sit back and watch the battle. Maybe we should throw some oil on them to make it tougher to fight, hmmmm, dino, syn, olive, canola, vegetable, I'm so confused!
