I stop at around 150 - 175 miles(depending on fast I'm riding) for gas, take a leak and maybe grab some water.

I only stop when I need gas or reach my destination. I eat and drink (non-alcoholic)while riding.

I went with the Road Zeppelin seat on my ultra. Now when it starts hurtin, I just add or subtract a little air from the problem zone and bam! I continue on. Still stop around 150 to 160 to gas up though. Of course anytime I'm near luckenbach i have to stop whether it's been 10 miles or a 100.
Ditto on the Road Zeppelin! Once I get it set, I can ride all day w/o changing it. Need to stop at about 180 for gas, wish I had a six or more gallon tank.[8D]

It depends. If I'm riding solo, I can go 175-200 miles but I usually end up stopping a little more often to see the sights, get a drink, take a pee break, etc. If I'm really trying to get from here to there in a day, I can stretch it all the way to a full tank of gas. If I'm riding 2-up, usually stop at least every 100 miles, wife can't go quite as long, she doesn't have any highway pegs.

Then there's a group of metric guys I ride with some. It's usually 100-125 miles between stops because they need gas, My RK gets much better fuel mileage than the Nomads, Vulcans and especially the VTX1800, it's the worst. He gets about 36 mpg.

On your average stop....let's say a round trip ride of 300 miles. What is your average mileage... to stop, rest, stretch, bathroom etc?

My azz kills around 100 miles.....[:@]
Since I'm always in a group, it's usually when the group stops, and for me it is almost always the ride, not the time that's important, so I don't usually mind. I've gone as far as 240 miles on my old RK which got >50 mpg and would hit reserve at 240 miles, but the SG's fuel light comes on at about 175 or less. With the right seat, backrest, and peg arrangement it isn't difficult to go 100 miles or more--if you don't need to pee or get gas. In the morning after 2+ cups of coffee (a requirement for me to function), I'm good for maybe 35 miles before needing the first pit stop, but that increases as the day progresses.

As for azz relief, buy a Corbin or Mustang with backrest, and have options for foot placement. Floorboards allow a good bit of movement for your feet, and highway pegs on the engine guard are a necessity for me. For each foot movement you change the pressure points on your azz, and I even sometimes put them on the passenger pegs in the back for yet one more position.

If I'm by myself at about 140 miles give or take, 'cause that's when the gas light comes on. If the little woman is with me, about every 1.5-2hrs depending on traffic.

Try to hit a rest stop even if it means an extra stop for gas just a bit later. Like tostretch a little and stand up for awhile. On average about 15 minutes, if I'm gassing up.

It's not my back that bothers me, as much as my kidneys! Must be getting old.

Before I got this 07 I was riding @#&(()) so I would go about 200 - 235 miles, now with this 07 Street Glide if I see a gas station I better fill up or I might be a pushin ... she runs like a dream but OPEC and HD is in bed on the gas milage!
