Default Street King?

If this topic has been discussed already, I apologize.

However, I have been wondering about the logistics/cost of switching out the front end of a Street Glide to a Road King front end. I am still learning about Touring HD's and would like to know if it could be done.

Thanks boys!

I like the idea of the Road King with the QD faring (dragonfly?).

Seems like the best of both worlds.

Possible yes; cost effective; no.

I could easily see adding an aftermarket batwing (removable perhaps) to a RK if one was so inclined, but to go from a factory batwing bike to a RK would mean a bunch of work and parts to eliminate the fairing, gauges and electronics and add the RK's gas tank mounted stuff.

If you have a batwing bike and really want a RK, then sell the bike with the fairing and buy a RK....way easier and cheaper IMO.

2 pennies.

I put a Dragonfly on my RK and never took it off again, except for cleaning.
Can't imagine anyone taking a fairing off of a SG. What would you do with all the wiring?

It would cost a lot and destroy the resale value. Anything can be done if you are willing to throw cash at it.

That's why I asked fellas. Just blue-skying the idea. Just think it'd look pretty cool, that's all.
