any one know how to get sealed tailights apart
i have a blown light and my dealer wants $495 plus fitting for a new one

you can bake them in an oven at 250* to get the glue to soften up

What tail light do you have that cost $495?

 

Let me know how you get it apart. If the led's are soldered on the main board, not sure what you got there. I may be able to help.
I had some1 contact me about changing the led's in his Vrod mirrors, I turned down the work as I didn't want to break the mirror opening it and turn signals are a std yellow didn't think he really should be changing to white.

 

Wow, I'd just buy a BAL for $200

its on a 2010 streetglide and here in australia you pay throught the nose for parts
luckerly my stepson is a electronics expert in the navy and on leave soon

My 2010 FLHX didn't come with LED taillights. They just had a standard bulb and I ended up putting Custom Dynamics LEDs in them. Australian models come with LED? I feel cheated.
