CVO Stock Slip-Ons versus Ultra Stock Slip-Ons
#2
no. in fact, they may be less. i know that after i replaced the header pipe on the wife's bike with a fuel moto 2-1-2 headpipe, we ran the stock mufflers for a while. yes, it was quiet, but didn't sound too bad. i then located a set of stock cvo takeoffs and swapped out the stock mufflers. holy crap! it was quieter than a goldwing!!! but, that did not last long as i took out the stock baffles and replaced them with the fullsac 2.0 cores. now, it sounds great. still quiet, but has a nice rumble at idle/low/cruising rpm, and still barks if you hammer it.

i think it all depends on what year.
I have a 2012 CVO street Glide and the factory slip on's are much better sounding and have a slight increase in volume, When I went to cat less headers I kept the stock mufflers. If they had more volume they would interfere with my tunes.
I will not be changing the mufflers as they are close at the limit as far as volume as I would care for.
Remember My SG is a 110 with SE255 cams.
The Se255 cams will increase the volume of the mufflers quiet a bit. That I do know for a fact. Been there and done that on my 96ci ultra.
