76000 on my 07....i expect a lot of miles...I am beyond resale value now so i will ride it and fix it for a long time...well until it is no longer fixable or dangerous to ride...I am thinking i will go in the engine at around 150000 spruce it up a bit...

Like so many of the questions on a forum, this is one of those questions that will be answered differently by every reader.
You can tell an awful lot about a bikes condition and care by looking at it. If it is clean as a hounds tooth and shines like a dime in a billy goats rump, it has probably had very good care. Things like wear and tear on the seat and the condition of the rubber brake pedal also say a lot as do things like brake pads and tires. Last of all is the test ride. Ride before you buy for new or used.

The reason I am asking about approx. how long the engine will go is that I put 8,000 - 10,000 miles a year on one. I use Amsoil and change at 3500 - 4000 in the engine and every other oil change all three holes..

Traded my 08 in back 11/2010 with 60k and the dealer never even ask about the mileage.

I have 30 on my 11 now and I expect polishers would call that high mileage

Id say 100k is high milage. Weather its a bad thing or not depends on the care taken durring those miles.

Miles on the highway don't hurt the bike much like city miles do. A bike with only a few
years on it, and 40K to 60K means some one was on the road a lot. Maintenance is the
important thing with high mile bikes, the more maintenance records the better it is to have.

I know two people with 96 inch ultras with over 100k on the clock with no major failures. Want longevity out of a bike? don't open the engine and do the service on time. If you want a 103 or 110 buy one. I know ppl that installed big bore kits and had no problems as well as several who did. You didn't say if you're at the dealer or private seller. IF you're financing, remember, HD will finance a private sale. In FL, the difference between a dealer and private seller for the same bike is around 3 grand. I just got done getting off my 95 and onto an 07. After patiently searching and making offers, I found one with 7100 (yes, hundred) miles on it and the guy took my offer. I intend to keep this one for a VERY long time and i ride a lot so for me, 20,000 miles was the upper limit. There are a boatload of low mileage ultras out there. ( I know, ask me what time it is and I tell you how to build a watch)
