Road King w/BDL 3" open belt
Finaly did it.
I didn't want to (totally) relocate the footboards or replace the stock foot controls with a 'forward' set-up...so I had a shift pivot fabricated & welded to a new BDL backplate so I could run a 3" Open Belt drive. I have searched on-line quite a bit..and I have yet to find another set-up like it. So. Thought I would share. Still working on a custom heel shifter, but that should be a pretty easy fix. :) http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...h/IMG_0637.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...h/IMG_0643.jpg EDIT: Link to video was jankey... two words: bad ass.

Thanks.
Just picked the bike up yesterday, so didn't really get to put miles on it until today. Clutch is WAY stiffer than the stock set-up, but it builds power far quicker. The sound is all sorts of cool. I'm pretty pleased with the project overall. Just need to find time to get the heel shifter reworked. |
AWESOME!
Your "King" looks and sounds GREAT!!! Always have liked the BDL set up. :icon_eddie: YB |
clutch pull on a belt drive is tough. I've had two, I'm too old now!
your set up looks great though. Good job! oh yeah. watch the cuff of your pants, it'll eat em! |
