Default How many bikes do you think your dealer sells?

How many bikes do you think your dealer sells a year? my first guess would be 1-2 a day but then I think about winter and that changes it. Our local dealer (Alef's Harley) I would guess sells around 3 a day during the summer and 1 every 3rd day in the winter so I'm guessing 540+150=690.....

For most dealers, you can go on their website and count the sales in their new customer page. That's going to give you a pretty good idea.

If you ask the dealer they will sell huñdreds every month. Buy It now because it will be sold tomorrow and it will be gone.

Cape Fear HD in Fayetteville, NC...Probably one or two a week...if that! Seriously!!!! It would be 0 a day if I had it my way. Everyone goes to Smithfield, NC (Shelton's HD) and Cary, NC (Ray Price). I love being an Army Retiree, but CF should have never hired those retirees as salesman and gave them a salary with no commission. They have no incentive to sell bikes when their retirement check and disability check is more than most ppl salary. They are so horrible, that most of the parts guys have left and are leaving because they are disgusted with their salesmen.

The key is total bikes. New & used combined. They sell more used than new in some cases.

There is a HD dealership for sale in my area and I signed an NDA and went through the entire package as far as tax filings, financial statements, etc. and I was surprised at how few new bikes sales there were relative to total sales in the dealership. Service/parts/clothing are pretty significant.

sfcmo357,

I heard Duke left for the dealer near Ft Polk. CF Has truly lost one of it's greatest assets... Sad to see Duke go.

Yep, he was fed up. They have really messed up. I forgot the tall guy's name, but he left last week from service dpt too....and Rob (heavy set guy) may leave if they do not promote him because he's been there the longest (other than Duke). There is a new guy who retired from the Army on 1 Sept...Ken, I think. He's cool.

I met Duke over emails/phone from Iraq in 2005 and when I arrived stateside, he had my bike sitting there with everything ordered/installed. He's a good guy.
