Thumbs down ExtEnded shifter pegs for touring

ok I searched and went to dealer but hd does not have a shifter peg that really extends out.

I've always had the Harley goodies floorboard extenders and I ride highway with feet mostly on the crash bar pegs. When I get local and have to shift it's sometimes a chore to find that little 2.5 inch shifter peg.

Does anyone know a vendor that might sell shifter pegs that extend at least 3.5 to 4 inches out?

Kuryakyn makes shift rod extenders that are threaded the same as the shift pegs. They come in a kit with a 1.5" extender and a 2.5" extender. The photo is mine with the 2.5" shift peg extender and 3/4" floorboard extenders.

Here they are at JP http://www.jpcycles.com/product/510-378

I never liked the heel shift, took it off and put a spacer in between moving the toe peg out about 3/4 inch.

I do not have a picture handy but I order a shoulder bolt from the Fastenal Company same size as the Stock one but with a longer shoulder.I then took the rubber of the heel shifter I do not use and cut it to match the length of the longer shoulder. So when finished it looked just like stock but 50% longer.
