Default Street Glide + Tour Pack questions and Pic Request

I think it's time to get my Chopped Tour Pack. I have been using soft luggage on a sissy bar/luggage rack setup for awhile now and I have run into a problem with my whip antennas with my current setup.

So here is my question and my pic request... I will be running the tour pack in the solo riding position. But I don't want to use it as a back rest. So the questions is, how far back can I mount it so it's not interfering with the stock antenna position? Is there adjustability with where you mount it on the rack? Anyone have pics?

Is this possible?
  • I dont want to relocate my antenneas
  • I dont want it touching me.

For reference, this is my setup with the old antennas, with the whip antennas the soft luggage is pushing the antennas out to the side. So I figure it's time to get the chopped, been thinking about it and pushing it off for as long as I could but I think it's finally time.

Yea, I messed up the title but apparently I can't fix it. So it is what it is now.

Perfect timing as I picked my new chopped tour pack yesterday but by the time I got it ready it was too late for pictures. However I will take some today and I current have it on the solo mount where to me it sit just behind the seat back rest on my solo sig series seat.

I'll post in a couple of hours time

SG in BBP with the newly added tour pack - my back rest doesn't touch the tour pack rest by about an inch and its set at my normal position. I'm 5' 8" and 31" leg seam

I wouldn't get a chopped due to the size factor. You cant fit a full face helmet in it for traveling.
you will have to change antenna location.

It's a fair point about the space but my hat can be in a hotel room and I ditched the aerials shortly after getting the SG. Looks wise I think the chopped beats the king which I had on previous Ultra's

So even with the solo setup you have to relocate the antenneas?

No, I have just looked at mine and I would say that the shortie would fit but clipping the tour pack in place would be fun, some else would have to bend the aerial out of the way for you to locate the pack

Hmmm I need to find pics of a tour pack in the solo position with the stock antenneas. Changing out my whips or Relocating them is not an option at the moment.

On you tube there is a video of guy who runs the stock antenna with stock bracket along the fender and seat, hides it good and he claims it works just as good....
Might be an option for ya to look at....
