I think the best thing to do is go to a dealer or to an event with lots of bikes. When you see one with some nice apes with the owner standing around ask if you can check them out. Looks are cool but its really about fit. My gangsters aren't really that tall but they are wide so they get my hands out so I drop my elbows which keeps me from getting that pinch in my upper back/neck.

I just skipped over other replys so if it been said ill repeat it again.

I would buy any bars completely made in American first and foremost. reason... American steal is better and when it comes to bars. the quality of the steal used is a big deal to me.
point 2 of your question about vibration.. when you do your bars/ or have them done. the bushings need to be changed out to the poly bushings. this will make the vibration not transfer as much. that's all I got to say about that.

How wide from ring finger to ring finger are your carlini gangsters? Im interested to know because i like wide bars and goin to have BR Customs make me a set of bars and i want to see how the gangsters compare to my measurements. That is one of the measurements they ask for...I also want to take into consideration i want tall and wide ( About 19"s) so the higher i go it seems like i really have to watch my width. I am 5'10" but my arms arent very long. The reason why i want 19"s is because i had 16's (Roland Sands) King Apes and wished i went a few inches higher
