unlike the previous year bikes in order to get the lower fairing speakers for all touring bikes (you cant just order CVO stuff like in the past) you have to order 2 separate things if you want to get it thru harley.
1. Lower speaker boxes which are ruffly $279 painted a little less primed but you still have to paint
2. The lower fairing speaker kit which includes speakers, wires and a shelf to create a sealed box kinda,,, for an additional $279 as well

As of now you cant order just the shelf "without" the Harley speakers (which are decent at best) and of course even then youre out 279$ for the outside box part........ Kind of a joke really to have no choice thru Harley but to spend 560$ bones to get lower speaker option plus probably throw out the speakers and get new ones for an additional cost.

I hope the aftermarket guys get something out quick. ride safe, paul

 

I had no problem ordering my CVO speaker boxes, and they were roughly $50 apiece, and had them painted for less than $150. I then put the speakers in that I wanted.

Where are you getting the $560 number from?

He has a '14. '14's are definitely different.

OP→Old lowers will mount in place of your current lowers if that helps. Doubt it will but putting it out there. I'd ask UltraNutz where he got the speaker stuff for his lowers. Fairing Factory maybe? Since they made the previous ones maybe they are already working on ones for '14's.

 

Great thots there!!!!! And The 14 is different for sure, because the ultra has the radiators in it I would assume.

I ordered the lowers color matched day one without knowing about the issues.

Might be a good heads up for anyone ordering the lowers on 14's That they can put the 13 lowers on and save a ton of money on the speakers if that's the way they want to go.

The color option would be the only draw back I suppose.......... lets hope the aftermarket guys get some going,,,, paul

Interesting. I thought the CVO lower pods would bolt right up.

 

Those '14 lowers are completely remodeled. They needed to fit radiators and the overflow tank in some but the remodel was done on all of them. Engine guards are the same though from '13 to '14 and one person on this forum has already put his old lowers onto his new '14.

You could checkout this recent thread where a guy took some closeups of the new lowers. The top part loos redesigned just like the rest of it to me...
