Default 2013 RK before/after 21" stock height

Since I was looking around for this shot before I started, I figured someone else might find it useful. Rides a little more stable at speed, requires a little more "push" at slow speed, I'd say general handling improvement for me.

Here's a quick A-B picture set. Bolted on black spoke Sinister 21" front, fender height is ok and no fork drop. Added a chrome fender bumper, not sure if it is going to stay or get pulled.

We always double check tire to fender clearance by taping a 5/16" nut to the center of the tire and ensuring it does not scrape the inside of the fender. Usually with a Metzeler (I think that is what you have) there is not an issue but it is worth taking a few minutes to check as if the tire does grow enough in height to hit the fender it will burn teh paint off the top and you will need a repaint.

If the nut scrapes the inside of the fender bore out the rear two mounting holes on the fender and hold the fender up from the lower rear portion as you tighten down those rear bolts.

Easy peasy and worth a few minutes.

That is good to hear. I like my Roads Glide with the 21" at stock height too. Personally, I can't see losing any ground clearance. On a bagger you have a fairly high center of gravity compared to say a softail. On my softail I lowered the front 1". On teh bagger I have no need to lower the front.

So glad you posted this....I am agonizing over the need to lower the front or not.
