Mine are slashed this way ~> / I guess that's slash up? One less spot for water to collect when getting caught in the rain.

Actually mine only mount one way. The brackets are welded on so they mount as you see.

I will say yes, I can really hear them, not bad at 60 mph at all or at idle, but at WOT or even cruising at 70 mph, they are LOUD. They have glass packs in them but I guess they are blown out.

I wish someone could tell me what brand they are, I bought the bike with them on and even posted up a thread but nobody could say what they are. They have no markings on them. I'm just curious.
