Yep...keep bike in hibernation until spring/rain washes roads off...

JK, you just have to find a warm place where there's nearby water and tough it out.

Unless you have a heated garage with a water spigot in the garage, I don't think even a wipe down with warm water or a spray bottle will get all the salt off and getting that crap wet could even accelerate the metal corrosion process.

Wait until temps are above freezing and use a water hose. Use lots of rinse water on the chrome parts.

Go to local marine supply or order on-line some stuff called Nutri-salt or De-salt. It's a liquid that I used on my boat, the quad after a ride on the dunes and now on my bike anytime I get close to the coast. No salt on the roads here. Put some in one of those hose end sprayers and spray it on, let sit a few minutes then rinse off. I wouldn't let it sit overnight with dried salt on it.

I used to ride in the snow when the streets were clear enough. Just parked it afterward if it was still freezing at night. Never had any issues. When you DO wash it, don't forget to turn the water off the the outside spigot!!!!! I had a 2000 dollar bike wash one year when the pipe burst and flooded the basement and took the ceiling and wall with it.

When I am unable to say no to riding the bike on the salty roads I will immediately give it a bath with hot water and Mequire's Gold car wash liquid. I am lucky to have my laundry area close to the garage. I put a splitter at the hot water line at the washing machine and I run a hose to the garage from inside the house.
I do a hand wash with a cotton diaper and give it a generous rinse with hot water. Does a great job for me.
