On my RK standard, I use 36/36 unless wife is hangin' on the back - then I raise the rear to 40. 14K on the bike with 3/32 left on front and 4/32 left on rear.

You got 19000 on the rear ?? You are my new idiol... LOL Hell I thought gettin 12 to 15m on mine was doing good. BTY 36/36 is what I run on mine.


ORIGINAL: SubZer0

I run the rear at 42 and the front at 38 both solo and with passenger. I'm still running the stock tires with 19,000 on them and still have plenty of tread with an even wear pattern across the rear tire and no cupping of the front tire.

Wow....some of you folks are getting some great mileage out of your original tires! I guess I'm a little **** when it comes to tread depth, and consequently change my rear tires out usually around 10k. Fronts get close to 20k miles.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong place in the book, because the manual says to check the sidewall of the tire (on my '07).
