Will Seafoam quiet the lifters on the 103 put in the oil? It has a noisy top end. My indy recommended Redline. at$17.99 a Qt. I would love to quiet the top end of this motor. Loud pipes would do it I guess ,,lol
My experience with synthetic is that you tend to hear more noises. Not sure why this is, but it seems to be true. That said, the extra protection with a good syn like Redline is well worth a bit more ticking. IMO. I use Redline products in my cars and bike. I usually psy between 14.00 and 15.00 per quart. Amazon.com usually runs specials on their vtwin 'power pack' with products for 3 holes for 100.00-129.00.

Seafoam will quiet down lifters if they are sludged up. If they are noisy for other reasons, no it won't help. If you are running a 20-50 synthetic in your engine and your lifters are clean, you might want to try moving to a 50 or 60 straight weight dino oil (like the manual suggests) for warm weather riding. Not recommended if you are riding in cooler climates. Again, check the owner's manual.
SeaFoam fixes everything! If I have a knock, rattle, or flat tire, I just set a can of it on top of the hood or seat, walk away and come back a couple hours later and BAM!!! It's fixed...
