Default broke breather bolt off in jug

Ok im a idiot. I was installing a new V& H naked air filter on my bike and I over torque the breather bolt and it broke off. Luckily I was able to get the bolt out clean. Does anybody know where I can order a replacement bolt from?
Can you use the stock breather bolts instead, the aftermarket bolt looks the same, just shorter.

Thanks for any help.

Idiot

I might be off base here, but maybe from V&H? If you still have the stock bolt, giving it a try may not hurt.

A buddy of mine had an intake put on his bike at Americade one year. Was a 2009 FLHX. He didn't know the make of the intake but an indy was able to order him breather bokts when one backed out and disappeared.

Default Oh chit !

Just curious how many cuss words was that one bolt worth at the moment it broke off in the jug ? I used to do that often when I was much younger. I would snug everything up and then give 'em the ol' just a bit more and snap 'em right off. As I got older I learned not to do that last little bit of torque. Glad you were able to remove the broken stud. I suggest Ace Hardware for a new bolt. I try to buy as many fasteners, and everything else I can from them rather than the big box stores.
Spring is here, time to ride.
Good luck.

I just did the same damn thing. Torque wrench mis-calibrated or I set it wrong or something. Instructions said between 120-140 foot inches of torque. I should have stopped when I was really "GRRR"-ing it. I installed the stock ones and everything seems ok. I sent an email to V&H and hopefully they'll get back to me. I'll try Ace tomorrow to see. Auto parts store didn't even know what it was. The V&H ones are a little shorter and the hole is smaller.

Anyone know if there is any reason the stock ones would be different or wouldn't work? Do the V&H ones have a bigger hole or something? Everything seems ok.

It should be inch pounds. That amount translates to approx 10-12 foot pounds IIRC. With most things small I have to torque I usually dial in half the torque setting and work up towards what is recommended. If it doesn't feel right the closer I get I stop and make a decision on if I feel confident with were its at.
