Default 2014 saddlebag latch on older bikes?

So I love the new latchs on the 2014 saddlebags and was wondering if anyone knew about putting them on an older bike (2013 for me) or something like it? It's so much easier for one handed operation and so much better for just opening and closing period.

I like the new latches on the '14 models too. I know there are threads here regarding installing the '14 Tour-Paks on '13 and older models; has anyone done a similar upgrade with the saddlebags, or any homework as to what it takes, or if it's even (reasonably) possible?

Yeah, I'm hoping to just change out the latch or lids at a minimum and not the whole bag. But maybe if I can find some on an extended bag it will be a good excuse to finally break down and buy them.

Last I heard on here, the bags did not fit on later bikes.

Well last I heard on here was the '14 bags will fit just fine on older bikes with a 1\4" adjustment of the front mounting bracket for the bag. Simple adjustment. But I don't think is any chance in hades of retrofitting just the latches or lid of the newer model onto the older bags.

Well I have an '08 RKC and I purchased a set of lower hard bags from a 2014, the bags are in beautiful condition. I removed my leather bags and I was able to install the hard bags with a slight adjustment of the front clamp and they fit perfectly. At the moment there're boxed because I don't want to pay the high price for the lids from the dealer. Due do being a new style of hard bags, currently no after market parts are available, which brings up my dilemma, should I continue to hold on to them or sale/trade for a 2013 or earlier model.
