Default cutting out in the rain

Took off for new Orleans yesterday. Rained the first 5 hours or so. When going up a hill or under a load it was like you just hit the kill switch. If I let off and rolled back in it easy it would stumble but make it up the hill. Quit doing it when it quit raining. Did it again today when it rained. Any ideas? 2013 streetglide. Was wondering if my stage 1 intake could be sucking water? It has a rain cover on it.

Do you have a piggyback tuner installed?

When I ran an open intake, I had a similar problem in the rain. Others have said they had no problems with open AC, but I sure did.

When I take my football cover off and put the rain cover it bogs down in the rain if it gets under load....

I have the powervision. Had the problem with rain in my power commander 5 plugs so I didn't get a piggyback this time. Dropping a gear didn't help. Maybe I'll try installing the football cover next time it rains. Never had the problem with the last one I had before.
Could rain hitting the regulator/rectifier cause it?

Ok, thanks guys. Looks like it's probably the air cleaner. Hopefully not much rain on the way home this weekend. Arkansas hills and cutting out sucks. On another note watch the potholes by the French quarter. They're mean to your suspension and everywhere

It's your air cleaner. Just ride up the hills in reverse. Problem Solved!

rain socks work well to keep water out. I too found a loss of power in rain with the sock on, took it off and had no problem. no idea if water got in but no ill effects. actually water is a good way to remove carbon build up. My thought is the rain sock keeps water out, but a layer of water on the sock reduces the air getting in. IMO
