How to have Aux. driving lights on with High beams
 

I have a rare Free Mod...Yes I said Free!!! In the past it cost about $30 for an adaptor that plugged into your headlight harness so you could have your axillary driving lights stay on even with High beams. Well I took my 14 Trike in for its 5000 mile service and requested the dealer flash my ECU with the modification that allows my auxiliary driving lights to be on with High or Low beams. No problem, and they do it for free. I have never heard of a free mod from Harley. Woohoo.

I've seen a bunch of threads on this topic. Every one says dealer program. This is the first time I've seen this diagram. Simple, makes sense, like it, many thanks.

That wiring diagram is for the 13 and older bikes. I did that mod to my 12 Limited. You had to do that or buy the harness to do it. The 14's have the new can-bus electrical system and it is just a software setting the dealer has to change. Most do it for you at no cost if done with another service like the 1.000 mile service.

Should work exactly the same on any 14 with auxiliary lamps. I was wonder why no hear from you. !4 Roadking is why. Congrats.

Never understood the need for "Driving" lights with High Beams, they add only a little side vision under regular Low Beam use and if using Fog burner lamps are pretty well useless on High Beam. Fog lamps are for low visibility conditions while the High Beam isn't justified nor recommended with fog conditions, Driving lamps are just that a visibility aspect and with the High Beam on they are lost to the glare for oncoming traffic.

A friend had that done when he picked up his new RK.

Obviously you don't have Daymaker light? Night riding visibility is very much enhanced with spots & hi beam on together.

On dark country roads at night, I like all the LED Lighting I can get.
Daytime same applies for visibility...
