Default Leg Up Landingear

Getting to the point where I need some help handling my bike making slow manenuvers and sometimes stops. Has anyone used these Leg Up Landingear stabilizers?

My FIL has them on my old 01 RKC, he's past 70 now and was having issues holding the bike up occasionally. The only negative is that if you need to push bike backwards they get in the way like having your passenger foot boards down. Told him in Sturgis to go check out Bakers new reverse for that. He likes it but it took some time for him to trust that the wheels would hold him up when needed.

Sounds as if it is a good idea to try these aids before we really need them, so we can adapt in good time for when we do!

Why don't you go and look at the tri-glides? They come with reverse, no issues with slow speed stuff and you will have no worries about em falling over and best yet, you are still in the wind!!

A friend of mine has a complete Leg-Up landing gear with installation instructions and all the hardware. We tried it out before we took it off his bike and it works like a charm. It was on a used bike he bought and he doesn't need it. Let me know if you are interested and I will find out what he wants for it. P.M.me if you want.

That's where I'm going in a couple more decades when I can't hold the bike up!

Guy I worked for had them on his bike, He's 86 now. Well two years ago he was taking a slow turn from a stop sign and they came back down, stood him back up, straightening out the bike, sending him across traffic into the woods. As he panicked, not realising WTF was happening.

Looks like a nice system... http://www.landingear.com/index.html
It's a great alternative to tri-glides

If I ever go to a trike it will have a independent rear suspension. Maybe HD will get on the ball and offer that in the coming years....Before a trike, I think a reverse gear would help out immensely and should be offered as an option.
