Yeah I have a '14 Limited. Seems odd they would give the SG's upgraded shocks and not the Ultra.

Well, I decided to put the 12" Windsplitter on to see if it would help with the stereo sound. It helped a little, but it seems like it isn't as loud with the 6.5 Boom speakers as my ultra and street glide with just two hogtunes speakers.

Maybe it's because of the distance from the rider on the road glide vs the batwing?

Hmmm... I wonder if the amp would help? Of course no we're talking about real money. I got a chance to play with the "boom 2" system they are offering on the CVO street glide... Wow. Amazing. I'm not a audio expert, but it would be nice if the MOCO at least offered that system in the parts catalogue.

I probably won't spend the $600 for the Boom amp. I may wait and see if someone mounts one of the RF amps with aftermarket speakers to see how they install it.

I don't think loudness is really about speakers. I had a 13 RGU and did the Hog Tunes with the amp. It helped over stock. I got a 13 CVO Custom RG with the CVO stereo and it was way better than the Hog tunes. I just picked up a 14 limited and did the Boom Amp and speakers. It Rocks pretty good. I had it installed before it left the dealer. I didn't want to mess with tearing the new fairing apart. Some Audiophiles will complain about the Boom stuff.... I really don't get that. I'm rolling down the highway at 75 with motor noise and wind, and a high quality stereo isn't going to make that much of a difference to me. It just needs to rock good enough to enjoy it. You probably need an Amp.

Try using earplugs when you ride. It blocks out all the wind noise. I prefer the old fairing myself. But the new Rushmore features are nice. Enjoy the new bike. Nothing rides like a Shark.
