My 1st thought as well.

BUT, what if it gets sold, but not shipped?

Might want to keep the thread around as a backup of sale.

 

What I don't like about the SOLD FEATURE is;

If you want to comment on a part that someone has for sale this "NEW" feature will now PM or NOTIFY you when the item is sold, like I needed to know that I guess?

So for me now I will not give anyone a bump or a comment good or bad as I really don't want PM NOTIFICATIONS saying the item is SOLD when I was just trying to be nice w/a bump for the seller.

 

If you use the search function the "SOLD" part of the thread title gets stripped out from the search results and you end up asking people if their item is still for sale. Was asking a guy if his shocks were still available and he said they're marked as sold. If I searched for the shocks, the red SOLD in the thread title was not there - If I scrolled thru until I found the same thread w/o using search, lo and behold the SOLD banner was in the thread title.

I hate the Auto PM feature.. always an annoyance. Some buyer PM me asking why I sent it.

 

I like keeping the sold threads for price reference, and for the occasions when they're needed for evidence.

I've always found it annoying when folks delete sold items and prices from their threads.

 

When is comes to Buyers using the search function, the New Sold Feature doesn't help the Seller one bit!! I continually get Private Messages asking if the item is still available. The don't see the RED Sold in the title when using the Search Feature. While the Thread is Locked. Most of them can't figure it out and PM us asking if it's still available.

What a PITA!!
