Default Pulling an Aluma behind the TriGlide

I just purchased an Aluma MCT trailer and am wondering what height receiver you use with yours.

I have the Rivco trailer hitch and the receiver/ball seems to be too high for the trailer.

After doing some research on the web for proper tongue height. Everything I have read indicates that the bottom of the ball should be a 3 inch rise.

What are you using and how well does the trailer follow behind the trike?

I am currently using a 3" rise hitch on my 2012 tri with a lift kit. My trailer is not an Aluma, it is a Mission. When I bought, I looked at both, and they looked quite a bit alike to me. When my trailer is fully loaded(and I can get a lot in it), or empty, it pulls very well. It tracks very straight. I do know it is back there because it really dampens the performance but that is a small price to pay for the added convenience and comfort on a long trip. I did shorten the tongue length 10" for cosmetic reasons. I just thought it looked better. I am even getting pretty good at backing this rig up. We have pulled this set up through 39 states riding 2 up and this summer, we plan to pull it through the remaining 9 states in the lower 48.
