Default 2015, new 2017 or wait?

My wife is wanting me to trade for a trike. I guess 2 bad knees she has a point. Anyhow, my local dealer has a 2015 with 22K miles and a brand new motor(orig crapped the bed and owner traded for a new m8 2017 trike...dealer installed new 103 on the 2015 with 0 miles). They have it listed for 30K (lil high I think). I can get a new around 37K out door or less I would hope. Or I could wait for model year end to see what deals. Or wait for a 2018.

The 2015 looks great but still used even with new motor. So ext warranty needed. 2017 1st yr of M8. So many things to think about. I trust the salesman as he is family.

Advice? Thanks.

I had planned on waiting until the 18s come out but found such a great deal on a used 17 that I couldn't pass it by. I bought from a private party so no sales tax here in AZ.

The 15 is still going on three years old soon and way overpriced. I kept checking ebay and cycle trader. Here's a link to used 17s on cycle trader. Good luck! https://www.cycletrader.com/search-r...E%7C764948851&

I would wait on the 2018's now; they will be out in about a month. If you don't like what you see, you can always go back to a left over 2017 for a discount. I did that when I bought my 2016, saved a ton of money

Agree, if you can wait a month or so for '18's, might be worth it.

I agree I think that 2015 is overpriced. I told the sales mgr not counting trade I may would do 22K tops out the door. I do not think he liked that offer. LOL Time is on my side. I need to ride my Heritage Classic some....not rode in 2 yrs due to knee surgeries. Wife will not 2 up ride with me due to my knees (neither of us are skinny LOL) so long trips are not happening currently. She has her 06 FLSTI but she does not wanna do long trips on it. Long to us since teens and dogs at home are all day out and back trips.

Yep, I would wait for the '18's also. If the rumored frame change occurs, the '17's are going to be a bastard year.
