Check the codes that are stored. Erase the trouble code and see if it comes back.

I checked for codes, there were 7, all seemed to be related to what I was doing. Cleared all codes and check engine light went out. Thanks guys.

Just out of curiosity did you disconnect the battery before you started working on it?

I pulled the main fuse. I think the codes were tripped when I was testing to see if they worked before reassembly. I had the turn signals disconnected and that was one of the codes.

That'll do it for sure. I disconnect the negative battery terminal before working on anything that has to do with wiring most of the times. If not codes can be tripped. Was curious because in the future I may go with the heated grips. That's if I take a ride further North because in Florida you rarely need it.

For cold weather their a must. They came stock on my 2013 Ultra, I was pissed that they discontinued them on the hi end models. 35K and no heated grips on the Triglides, what are you thinking Harley!!!

They did the same thing to me on a 15 Ultra Limited Low that I bought. Couldn't believe that they would omit that on an Ultra Limited model that was more expensive than the other Ultra Limiteds. Almost two grand more. The others came with it.
