May 29 will be my last day of duty, hanging it up....38 years as a LEO is enough.
Looking forward to more time in the saddle, both the TG and the Mustang.
Time to see more of this great country, more BBQ, more doing nothing....
Exciting and a little scary. I've had a job since I was 14. Strange not having one soon....but I know we're going to love it....
Just thought I'd share...
Casper, enjoy that retirement. I'm about like Screwball, I had the chance to retire at the age of 50 after 30 uears and 1 month on the job and I took it. That was in Jan. 1998. I was a bit concerned with the idea and the what am I going to do now, but odd thing is I haven't run out of something to do in all those years. PLan some trips, grab your Honey and go.
Enjoy, Main thing is to stay healthy. I'm semi-retired after a 37 year career at a job that I was burned out at, at age 55. Now I work about two days a week at something I really enjoy, I figure a couple of days is better than a five day work week. Plus easier to justify all the toys. Ride safe.
I've retired twice (second one got retired - company got bought out) .. on third career .. don't think I'll ever give up altogether ... difference now is I'm the guy I answer to ... no one else. I enjoy that
Congrats,Casper. I've got 41yrs with PPG (glass division) and will be retiring in December. Will be 62 in November.
My wife retired five years ago,at age 55. She's just waiting on me,now. We're both looking forward to seeing the USA.
