I've used all kinds of tranny lube in many harleys, they all clunk when you shift.

Ten seconds into driving my first Harley, I fell in love with the clunk. I still smile when it catches my ear. It is a sound just for me to know that I am on a beast. seriously, I know its corny but I just love the machine.

Guys.... it's not like a hose up your nose. You will get a slight hint when sitting still at an idle on a hot day. Trust me... it's there.

Now that you are looking for it you will smell it. That is, unless your sniffer be broke.

It smells like gear oil. To me when you drain it out. I to have never had a smell sitting at a light.

Possibly it is because us OLD folks can't smell anymore.
