Hi all,
Helping a buddy fix up his 01 standard...I'm new to this particular line so I have no idea what years fit what, but I'm looking forward to learning and getting this bike back up to a beauty. The chrome belt guard and exhaust slip ons are rusted pretty good so I know he needs those, he thinks the header pipe heat shields will clean up but I'm not so sure. The bushings where the riser attaches to the triple tree are out of whack so the handlebars are slightly shifted to the right so I assume new bushing are in order. I still have to go over everything but those are the items that jump out as needing replacing. If you have something laying around let me know a price.
Also, what is the widest wheel that can fit on the rear? the stock one in there now looks kinda anorexic.

I have a chrome belt guard in good condition that should fit 00-05 Softails (exactly which I am unsure of. I can email large pics to examine. Listed on Craigslist in Sacramento CA. price $45.00 plus shipping

not sure if it will fit, but I have a smooth solid rear wheel from an 08 night train with a new (300 miles or so) tire. 200 mm. It is powder coated black. pm if interested
