Greetings From the Great State of TN
Hey all,
First all thanks for having me. A little about me, if anyone cares, I grew up loving motorcycles. My dad was an old rider from the baby boomer era and helped introduce me to bikes. Being rebellious as I am I wanted to always make them faster and more stripped down .When I moved to East TN I was met with more twisty roads and a want to go faster. From there I got into sportbikes. It doesn't take long on an r1 to realize that the speed and handling on those is mind numbing, but also a bit useless. I found myself back to the cruisers and my love for the twin. My only fear is peg scraping .I want to still be able to have a good time in the mountains.

Welcome to the Forum from California! It's a good idea to practice and find the lean limits of your bike, preg scraping, before you get into a situation where you wish you knew that limit ahead of time. I highly recommend Ride Like A Pro videos. You can see preview ok YouTube and but if you like them.

Thanks dude. I guess what I was saying in my post is that I have dragged my knee .I ha e ridden a sportbike at least close to the limit. I think it will help my riding but I'm afraid it'll be hard to give up.
I'm also afraid of the apparent hate for Sportsters but I like em .Bare bones and fun. Hate to think it's just a chicks bike
I guess all I'm trying to say is I love riding hard on whatever bike .Harley or Honda don't care .Riding is the best
