Returning Cincinnati Harley rider with question

Hey c8chris, I went to the members website and it looks like they are still doing the contest.

Cool deal about the contest. I have a side project related to that contest, but better to get two birds with one stone. A little more incentive.
Found some parts, like stock exhaust locally on Craigslist. The stock derby covers, gas caps, etc., don't seem to be as cheap as I'd expect on eBay.
Will keep looking...

I called some independent customizing shops to see if they had any stock parts laying around.
The best advice I got was to watch eBay and to a lesser degree- Craigslist.
Found everything I wanted (gas cap, derby cover, ignition cover, accessory outlet, nacella cover, swing arm covers, LED turn signals, exhaust pipes, Corbin seat and longer black mirrors) for about $250.
That gives me the winter to put it back to stock and then sell off the falme and bar parts in the Spring.
Looking around my basement, I have a ton of bike stuff from the last 15 years that's just sitting around. Gives the winter time to go through it and package it up. A stock seat to a 1995 BMW GS 1100 won't bring much at a garage sale...
Also got my HOG membership and starting to put together my ABC of touring plan for the Spring. It looks like they've tightened up /changed the rules from when I did it ten years ago.
Thanks much
Chris
