New to the scene
Hey all!
I am a few days from closing out a killer deal for a basket case from my uncle. 70's Poughman Frame with a Harley 1000 Ironhead. He knew the guy who owned it and rode it in the 70's, late 70's the guy tore down parts of it for some reason and never put it together again. He sold it to a friend of his who started putting it together but never finished paying my uncle, so now he has repo'ed it from the guy and is selling it to me, everything ready to go and be put back together, for $1,000...... I think I am getting a killer deal, will be posting up pictures once I get everything coming in.
Should be picking up the Frame and Engine this weekend, everything else by the end of the month, my uncle has assured me that everything is there to make this a running bike again and has said if I am missing anything he will find me the parts. My first bike, I am hoping to put together a rebuild thread later on as I will be taking pictures all along the process.
Hope to use the forum here as a great place to document this classic rebuild and possibly get assistance if needed.
