Default Tires and brakes easier than I thought

I decided to order new tires from Rider Domain and new brake pads. I took the wheels off myself and took them to an independent shop near me to have them mounted. I've never taken the wheels off before, but with the help of my service manual, it was easier than I thought. All I had to buy was a 36mm socket from Lowes. I had the rest of the tools including torque wrenches. I also installed EBC brakes pads front and rear. So, to anyone thinking of doing it yourself, give it a shot. I know I saved some cash, maybe not a ton, but I learned how to do it myself. I'm trying the Michelin Commander II tires, my original Dunlop's got me 17,000 miles but they were overdue by a 1,000 or so.

GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!
Nothing like diving in and getting your hands dirty.

Besides you saved some decent cash, you did it yourself and the pride goes a long way!!

did ya get the tire rebate?

where I'm at, fewer places willing to mount on rims we bring in. Kinda frustrating.

I love me some quality time turning wrenches in the garage. I sometimes wonder if I maybe like wrenching more than riding.
But knowing exactly who to blame when you find something fubar is pretty handy.
My mechanic screws things up all the time, but at least he's cheap!

No rebate with the Michelin's. I even emailed Michelin to confirm. I have about 150 miles on the tires and like them so far.

The next step is to get some tire irons or a machine like something from No-Mar and complete the job yourself.
