Default New wheels

I ride a 2018 Electra Glide, thinking of adding some new wheels, an 18" rear, 19" front. Wondering about the affects on handling, and fitment issues?

Thanks

Some current models come with a 19" front, which has the same rolling diameter as previous front tyres, including the traditional 16", 17" as well as 18". They each have a lower profile with shallower sidewall, hence the similar rolling diameter. The lower the sidewall is I suspect the poorer the ride quality will be, although that can be offset by using higher quality suspension. As for the rear, going from 16" to 18", you will probably find that as for the front the larger diameter tyre will have a lower sidewall, hence a similar rolling diameter, so once again ride quality may suffer. Better quality suspension can probably offset that too. I have 18" front and 17" rear, but with Ohlins suspension at both ends.

As your bike is a Touring model I recommend you visit the Touring or M8 sections, where you will find many more members than in here, along with plenty of advice.
