Ok am I missing something here?
Why would you . . . Put a tire that is flat across w/sidewalls that are made to abs bumps flat across on something that leans and needs tread on the side of the tire? And NEEDS a tire designed to do so.
Way back when snakes were walking, Harley's had the equiv of car tires on them (70's and back). They were horrible. I remember the SuperGlide . . . what a difference when we put some (good) motorcycle tires on it.
I guess if you (just) ride on the Interstate (BOOOOOOOOOOOoooooring!)
but me, gimmie a set of Metzler's or Dunlap's with tread going up the side farther than I can physically lean the bike . . .
Yep !!!!

My days on the Darkside have come to an end.
Mounted 04Nov2010 - removed 05Nov2012.
My Vredestein Comtrac performed flawlessly for 19,332 miles through 12 states.
Roads paved & unpaved, torrential downpours, snow, hail, temps ranging from 28°-125°, confidence was always high and handling was never an issue.
As you can see,the center wear mark has been hit but not the outboard ones.
I was hoping to at least get 20k, had it not been for an unscheduled tube failure.
