Default Ripped Spokes out of 60 Spoke Hub

got a question as to how strong are 60 spoke wheels with a semi built 103 inch motor in a bagger?? im running a 18x4.25 rear 60 spoke wheel with a cast billet hub. the spokes are fine but the spokes ripped the hub apart .. i think about 13 spokes only on one side of the hub.. i have to admit i do ride alil hot on the throttle.. rode home to change brakes and took wheel off and noticed the hub broken and spokes flopping around.. anyway my qustion is . should i replace the hub with a better one if they make one.. remind you these are 60 spoke normal size spokes.. or what should i be running to handle my style riding? a mammoth 52 spoke? or 80 spoke? or should i ditch the spoke rear and find a Mag wheel thats an 18?? was thinking of finding a mag rear and run my spoke front.. but a hub is cheaper to replace then buying a new rear wheel.. sorry for so long!!

its hard to believe a big engine did that(but probably possible) more then likley it was caused by the spokes being torqued too tight and/or hitting potholes..if your putting out that much HP a stronger hub would just make the spokes break..a mag would be the strongest..they make true spoked car rims that handle a lot more torque, weight, and abuse then a motorcycle, they dont break up

Go with a mag on the back. Much stronger and you won't have to deal with the same problem down the road.
