I called and talked to Russel Mitchell in New York (Exile Cycle) He said Rear tire is fine if you choose, tread direction is only cosmetic! Rear tires are built for shredding! Front will never compromise rear integrity. My position was that I wanted to stick with Big diameter that rears don't have.
