Lever on top doesn’t seem to make a difference if forward or back. There is a wire coming off of it that provides a ground when the lever is pushed forward. it’s disconnected. My best guess is that provides a ground to let you use the factory start button only when the lever is engaged? We are thinking it’s to disengage the kickstart when using the electric start. but it makes no difference.
