On my 2020 Glide, I run the hose down above the frame tube, no filter. There is zero residue on the frame or elsewhere. In the Trask instructions, they state you could push oil out of the vented cover if your engine is without the seal on the oil pump back cover, which your stock 2018 will not have. The intake on my bike is clean, I am very satisfied with these results.
