Here is the wiring diagram I made when I converted my 98 Ultra to carb. The only wires that you tie into the wiring harness of the bike are the pink (tachometer) and white with black trace (if I remeber correctly, this is the power from the ignition switch. Follow the deirection to set timing that come with the Ultima 53-644 and you will have no issues. Pay VERY close attention to how you have the switches set on the Ultima unit
