I installed the S+S stealth, which is an open AC like you describe, the intake reversion noise was so bad that it was a deal breaker for me. It looked awesom but literally made my engine sound like a diesel. Contacted S+S and was told, "yeah sorry about that, nothing can be done about the sound" A lot of people run open AC's and the noise doesn' bother them or they just get used to it. I was hoping I could get used to it since it looked so good but every time I twisted the throttle I cringed
