Motorcycle Museum Collection of Stockholm

This 1915 Harley-Davidson broad track racer is in pristine condition. But it's hardly surprising when you consider that this machine is coming straight from the Motorcycle Museum Collection of Stockholm.

A Piece of History

If you were a privateer racer in the early broad track era, this Model 11-K is exactly the type of machine you would have ridden. This bike embodies the dangerous yet nostalgic time in American motorcycle racing history.

A Simple Bike

This machine was built to go fast, nothing else mattered apart from that. This meant that it had a special short frame, rigid forks, and an all chain drive.

Restoration

A lot of and effort went into getting this particular model into such good condition. The bike was restored by the Motorcycle Collection in Sweden, and the whole project was overseen by Ove Johansson and Lasse Olson.

Modified Frame

Johansson and Olson sourced a modified original Harley-Davidson frame from Wichita Falls, Texas, which was built by Jim Chadwell.

California

While the frame came from Texas, the wheel hubs and clutch came all the way from Fred Lange in California.

Germany

Johansson and Olson couldn't find everything they needed in the USA. They had to go to Christian Henn in Germany to source the forks and tank.

Cherry on Top

Undeniably, the cherry on top of this motorcycle is the leather Heilman Saddle. It had better be comfy, seeing as this bike has no suspension to speak of.
