1. Buried for 48 Years

After crashing his Harley-Davidson, a young man in Belgium left it abandoned in his backyard. Long and forgotten, he started a family and his daughter, playing around with it, fell off of it. She must have hurt herself badly because this caused the father to dump it in a buried well out of anger. It wasn't until 2009 that his grandson gained permission to unearth it from its rusted slumber. For more on the story and images of the buried Harley-Davidson click here

2. Vintage Treasure

Forum member Deucedog posted this story in a thread titled Abandoned & Neglected Motorcycles Rotting Away... As it turns out, this 1917 Harley belonged to a reluctant old man who wouldn't sell it. It wasn't until he passed away that his widowed wife practically gave it away, earning $300 for it.

3. A Still Functional Rusty Panhead

This rusty 1948 Harley Panhead belongs to a man named Dave Monahan. Because of his work rebuilding it, he is able to drive it to bike events in order to hear people's comments on it. It is good to know that even though this Harley is rusty it is far from being abandoned.

4. A Salvaged Panhead

This is another story from the same thread that brought you the Vintage Treasure. Posted by forum member Mxdad, this Panhead was abandoned under a tarp behind an old man's house until Mxdad's son tracked it down to salvage it. Check out the end result here

5. The Tsunami Harley

In the 2011's earthquake, which led to a Tsunami in Japan, many lost their lives, while the survivors lost everything from their homes to loved ones. Among these survivors is Ikuo Yokoyama who lost family members along with his home. Among his belongs was this 2004 FXSTB Softail Night Train that got swept away, only to turn up a year later in an island off the coast of British Columbia. Now, as a memorial to the tragedy, it sits in the Harley-Davidson Museum. Click here for more on the story.
