Jason Momoa's Harley Collection Is Nothing Less Than Amazing
The actor is the perfect spokesperson for Harley, given his affinity for the brand.
Perfect Pairing
Actor Jason Momoa has certainly attracted quite the fanbase due to this, well, physical appearance, as well as his work in big-screen hits like Aquaman and Braven. But Momoa, as many already know, is also a Harley-Davidson spokesperson that has appeared in a number of advertisements for the motorcycle maker in recent months. Unlike many in that position, however, Momoa is a big-time Harley enthusiast and collector when he's not working on set, so this pairing is indeed a genuine one.

Good Kind of Hoarding
"I hoard everything when it comes to bikes and trucks and cars," Momoa told Men's Journal in a recent interview. The rag caught a glimpse of Momoa's Knucklehead collection at his temporary Toronto home, but that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. "Those are just my choppers. My other bikes are on the way here," he said. "I love them all - knuckles, pans, shovels. They're all different, they all sound great, and they’re all awesome."

Gas or Electric?
The self-admitted "gas and oil guy" is constantly buying, selling, and trading vehicles of all kinds, and enjoys the feeling "when you kickstart the bike and the motor growls right back at you." However, Momoa's interest in vehicles doesn't end with ICE-powered machines. "A lot of my trucks have been converted into e-vehicles," he said. "I run solar power, and I love Harley's electric LiveWire. You twist the throttle and jump to 100 miles an hour in three or four seconds. It’s a whole different sport, and there ain’t nothin’ about it except - bravo!"

Embracing Danger
While he is clearly embracing the future, Momoa also has a deep affinity for the past, given his collection of bikes from the early 1900s. "I feel like I'm in a time capsule,” Momoa said of his collection. "The artistry is so simple and clean. I love the history of motorcycle racing. Riding at 100 miles an hour on a board tracker with a little bobbly frame - one fall and you're getting impaled."

Simple but Beautiful
For Momoa, old bikes are all about design and simplicity, which are two of the reasons most are attracted to them. "I appreciate the artists who build and work on them. Also, Knuckleheads and Panheads are pretty simple bikes - they're not too difficult to work on," he said. This much resonates with his very first two-wheeler - a 1956 Panhead he named "Mabel," after his grandmother.

Modern Classics
At the same time, Momoa clearly also appreciates his brand new bikes for what they offer as well. "I've put the most hardcore bikers on this electric motorcycle," he said of his LiveWire. "Guys who are, like, no way - and they come back smiling like little kids." The same goes for his new Pan America as well. "I finally have a motorcycle that I can use to combine my passion for the outdoors with the freedom of riding and my favorite brand."

Deep-Rooted Passion
For Jason Momoa and Harley-Davidson, the fact that the two have linked up professionally just makes too much sense not to happen. The famous actor and iconic American manufacturer make quite an appealing combo, and it's clear that Momoa's passion for the brand runs deep.
