Daily Slideshow: Things to Do at the 23rd Hot Harley Nights

Round and round

A new attraction to Hot Harley Nights this year is the insane Rhett Rotten Wall of Death that is a big wooden barrel motorcycle stunt show. The aspect of this one, besides watching the laws of nature being turned on their head thanks to physics, is that vintage Harleys will be the instruments of said magic. Showtimes for this one will be from Thursday through Saturday at 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at J&L. 

Casino royale

If you'd rather get your kicks from games of chance, then look no further, as HHN will include a stop at Good Earth State Park this year. On Saturday from 12 to 5 pm, attendees will play various casino games at each of the five stops. At stake is over $5,000 in prices with random drawings and top 10 places in different categories.

Jamming out

Live music will be on hand all weekend with Sioux Falls' very own band Sugar Daddy at J&L Harley-Davidson from 5 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, there will be classic rock from Neo Johnson at J&L from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Then Saturday evening at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds there will be a DJ on stage working the ones and twos. However, after 6:30 p.m. there will be the local rock act Ron Keel band. After that band does their thing the country band Whiskey Rich with Sawyer Brown will close out the night's music.

Motorcycle parade

One of the biggest aspects of this annual festival is the Make-A-Wish kids getting a ride in Corvettes while being escorted by local police on Saturday night. Many, if not all, motorcycle attendees will leave J&L Harley-Davidson around 5:30 pm and will start a caravan through Sioux Falls coming to an end at W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds where the festivities will continue on. 

All makes and model of motorcycles are welcome and folks are encouraged to line the parade route. Click here to check out the route.

Win an H-D

Following the closing of the music on Saturday night is the raffle drawing of a 2018 Softail motorcycle right there on stage. For $25 a ticket or up your chances for $100 giving you 5 entries you can get in on winning a brand new Softail Slim. That raffle won't be your only chance to win as there will be silent as well as live auctions with over 115 items. Auction items will be out for browsing Friday and Saturday.

Bike show

On Friday night a bike show will go down with eleven classes being judged including the new class of Extreme Touring. Local attendees can check out H-D's National Demo Fleet at J&L where they can test drive any 2018 models on Friday and Saturday.
